Literacy Volunteer Program

  Literacy Volunteers of Rockland County
Become a Literacy Volunteer and make a difference in someone’s life! The programs at literacy volunteers are designed to help community adults read, write and speak English. Volunteers are trained to work with students on a one to one basis, approximately one to two hours a week at mutually convenient times at Finkelstein Memorial Library and other libraries their homework located
throughout the county. Some common goals for students are to speak English, become more involved in their communities, obtain U.S. citizenship, fill out employment applications, earn their GEDs or help their children with
