HOMEWORK HELP

If you need help with your homework, come to the Children’s Department of the Finkelstein Memorial Library. Registration and parental/guardian permission is needed. This program is opened to the students of the East Ramapo School District.

KNIGHTS AND TALES CHESS CLUB
Ages 7-10
Mondays, April 7-May 12th
Time: 6:30-7:30
Listen to tales of yore and learn how to play chess. This club is for beginners. Registration required starting March 24th. Limited enrollment.
FROG AND TOAD CLUB
Ages 6-8
Thursdays, May 1- 29
Time: 4: 45 – 5:45 p.m.
A 5-week “read-with-me” program for children ages 6-8. It will also include games and crafts based on books.
Registration required starting Thursday, April 17th.

CHILDREN’S BOOK WEEK, MAY 12-17

The East Ramapo Central School District with the help of the Finkelstein Memorial Library runs a "Mobile Library" established for children in grades 1-6. It travels to various neighborhoods in East Ramapo on Sundays during the school year. (See schedule through June 2008)
How it Works!
- Children must use their Finkelstein Memorial Library card.
- They can return the books directly to the Mobile Library or to the Finkelstein Memorial Library
- (Please note that we are requesting that you not return books to any of the other local libraries.)
- Each child can check out two books at a time for two weeks

FINKELSTEIN MEMORIAL LIBRARY’S 2008 SUMMER READING GAME
For children entering K-7
JUNE 30 – AUGUST 14
Join us this summer for some buggy fun. Select a day and time to come to the library each week. Along with your Nature guide (Librarian) have fun playing the game and discover the wonders of nature.
Complete 5 weeks of this 7-week program and be invited to our end of game party with puppeteer Steve Charney.
In-person registration and game starts Monday, June 30th.
Registration and game hours are as follows:

Bring your favorite stuffed animal and listen to storytellers, Erin Lee Kelly and Nora Maher. They will take us on a library journey using stories, song, movement and audience participation. Registration is required.
