Collette V. Fournier Photography Retrospective: Spirit of A People: Through October 24, 2014 at the Finkelstein Memorial Library

Rockland resident Collette V. Fournier is an award winning African-American photographer and an active member of Kamoinge Inc., an African-American photographer's collective. In 2008, she received a County Executive Arts Award for her work. Currently, she is writing a personal narrative on photography, maintains an active exhibition schedule and performs with Chiku Awali African Dance and Culture.

The artist is the campus photographer and teaches photography at Rockland Community College. She is writing a personal narrative on photography, and resides in Rockland County, NY.

Her work will be on display at the library from Sept. 8 through Oct. 24. An art reception and lecture is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 14: 2 - 4 PM. For further information, please call the library at 845-352-5700, ext. 243.
