I am truly excited to tell you about our upcoming fall program, featuring writer Lynn Lauber.  In great demand throughout the country as a speaker, Lynn has conducted creative workshops in libraries, colleges and other venues including UCLA and  Ohio State University.  We are fortunate to have her as our special guest on:

Both the Federal Congress and New York State Legislature have recognized the importance of Library Friends by designating October 21-27 as National and New York State Friends of Libraries Week.  We invite you to join the FML Friends in our on-going commitment to advocate to ensure that the Finkelstein Memorial Library can obtain the resources needed to continue to provide the extensive and rich variety of books and services to people of all ages and cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Your dues also enable us to continue to provide entertaining and educational events to add to the excellent programs offered by the library.  Did you know that library patrons can take advantage of free museum passes admitting them to a host of wonderful museums throughout the Hudson Valley and metropolitan area, thanks to the sponsorship of the Friends?   Be sure to save Saturday and Sunday April 12 and 13th for our spring Community Fair and Giant Book sale. Last year’s fair was such a hit that we are holding it for two days this year.
