Public Meeting & Study Spaces

The Board of Trustees of the Finkelstein Memorial Library recognizes the public meeting rooms as an integral part of the Library’s services. The meeting rooms are principally for Library Programs, but will be made available to community groups such as educational, civic, musical, literary, historical, fraternal, businesses located within East Ramapo Central School District boundaries, cultural programs or non-political governmental activities.

SMALL GROUP AND QUIET STUDY ROOMS ON THE SECOND FLOOR

One of the Library’s goals has also been to increase space for independent study and homework help at the library. Eight quiet and group study rooms are available on the second floor of the library.

Each room is equipped with electrical outlets and wireless internet access is available. There is no charge for using the rooms but there are time limits to ensure fair access to all. We hope you will visit the library soon and make use of these rooms!

  • For our study rooms, no reservations necessary, first come, first served

MEETINGS FOR LARGER GROUPS AT THE LIBRARY

You can submit an online request to use a meeting room.

Check the library calendar to see whether the room is available on the desired date & time. Requests must be submitted at least 7 business days in advance. Business days are Monday – Friday. Any changes to an approved request must be made at least 3 business days in advance. If the form is not submitted within 30 minutes, you have to start over.

  • NOTE: Please do not request a room more than 3 months in advance. Your request will not be accepted. You are only allowed to request rooms for dates within 3 months of the request date.
