Art Exhibits at the Library

 

Collette V. Fournier
Oct. 1 – Nov. 29, 2018
 
Photographer Collette V. Fournier will exhibit her retrospective collection: “Spirit of a People,” supported by the grant of Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR).
 
Collette V. Fournier is an award-winning, African-American photographer. She is an adjunct professor in the art department of Rockland Community College (RCC), where she teaches photography. There will be a reception in the library’s meeting room on first floor, on Sunday, Oct. 14, 1:30 – 2:30 PM followed by an art talk, 2:30 - 4 PM. Light refreshments will be served. Your entire family is invited!
 

Elvie’s Imagination Gone Wild Art
Dec. 3 – Jan. 30, 2019
 
Elvie Dorelus, in her first solo exhibit, will display digital anime artwork. Elvie is a Rockland Community College student, working towards her RN degree. There will be a reception on Saturday, Dec. 15, 1:30 to 2:30 PM, followed by an art talk, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. Light refreshments will be served and your entire family is invited! (Snowdate: Jan. 12.)
 

ERCSD 2019 Art (East Ramapo Central School District)
Feb. 8 – Feb. 25, 2019
 
ERCSD Art Director Michael Smith will coordinate the exhibit of the high school and middle school students’ art works in a variety of mediums, forms and styles. A reception will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 5:30 – 7:30 PM to recognize the artists. Light refreshments will be served. (Snow date: Feb. 19.)
