Summer Reading Logging 2023

What is Summer Reading?

Summer reading is a free public library program that encourages students to keep reading during the summer in exchange for a free prize as an incentive. You read the books- we give you the prizes! It’s easy!

This avoids the dreaded “summer slide”. The Summer Slide is what happens when students don’t read over the summer. The first month of school in the fall is spent catching up to where you were at the end of the previous school year. Summer Reading helps you start off strong in the fall!

Step 1:  Register starting 5/15

Step 2: Log your books read from 7/10-8/18

Step 3: Receive free prizes based on the number of books read & logged.
