Something Special

Parenting Resouce Fair (Families)
Sunday, 3/23 from 2:00-4:00 PM
Rockland County resources, services, and program information for parents, caregivers, and families. Separate children’s activities will be available to give parents the chance to gather information. This is a drop in program.

LIBRARY LITTLES

Baby Time (Birth-Walkers)
Every Thursday from 10:30-11:30 AM
1/9 – 6/12 (no session 1/30, 2/27, 3/27, 4/24, 5/22)
Babies are invited to their first story time program in this special lapsit for grownups and their little ones. Babies will get exposure to stories, songs, and movement, while grownups will get to create these special moments together. This is a drop in program.

Toddler Time (Walkers-Preschool Age 3)
Every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 AM
1/7 – 6/10 (no session 1/28, 2/25, 3/25, 4/22, 5/20)
Toddlers, Preschoolers and their grownups can join us for all types of fun: stories, fingerplays, music and movement, using scarves, instruments, and more! We will incorporate early literacy tips that can also be used at home. This is a drop in program.

Family Storytime (Families) Thursdays, from 3:30 – 4:30 PM (1/16, 2/20, 4/17, 5/8, 6/5) Monday from 6:15-7:00 PM 3/10 (for a special dress up theme) Come one, come all! All ages are welcome at family storytime. Join us for stories, movement, music, crafts, and more! (On March 10th wear your favorite costume for this special dress up evening storytime. Families will listen to stories about imagination and dressing up in fun costumes, followed by a simple craft and a costume parade around the library to collect goodies!) This is a drop in program.

Reading Buddies (Gr. 1-3)
Mondays & Wednesdays, 1/6-5/14
(no sessions 1/20, 1/27, 1/29, 2/17, 2/24, 2/26, 3/24, 3/26, 4/21 & 4/23)
from 4:00-4:45 PM & 5:00-5:45 PM
Reading is fun with a buddy! Your child will practice their phonics and decoding skills in a relaxed environment alongside our teen volunteers by playing literacy games and reading together. Please note: this program is intended for struggling readers. Registration required once for the Sept 2024-May 2025 season.

CRAFTING CORNER

Let’s Get Craftys (Gr. K-3)
Thursdays, 1/9, 2/13, 3/6, 4/3, 5/1 & 5/29

Get crafty with a variety of fun, easy Winter and Spring projects. This is a drop in program.

Crafty Creations (Gr. 4-6)

Sew Simple: Sew Your First Pencil Case (Gr. 4-6)
Thursday, 2/6 from 6:00-7:30 PM
Use our Makerspace sewing machines to sew your very own pencil case. Perfect for beginners! All materials will be provided. Registration preferred. First come, first served.
