To better serve you, you can now book your appointment online.  You can continue to call us to schedule an appointment to pick up your reserved material.

  1. Your holds must be ready for pick up.
  2. You will either notified by email of phone when your hold is ready of you may check your account online.
  3. Booking online is for next-day pickup or 4 days after item first becomes available.

Contact Circulation Department at (845)352-5700, ext 250, if you need to change your appointment time.  If you want an appointment for the current day (same day pickup) please call.

Any material that is stolen or damaged by the elements because they were left outside a drop box will be charged to the borrowing patron. If the box is full, please hold on to your materials and return again another time.

Freading

Freading is an eBook service from Library Ideas and has over 8,000 titles with more being added each day. Freading eBooks are available with simultaneous access so there are no holds needed—an unlimited number of library customers may download a Freading eBook title at the same time.

HOOPLA

Hoopla is a digital media service offered by your local public library that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to your devices.

Kanopy

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform for public libraries and universities that offers films and documentaries. Kanopy’s subdivision, Kanopy Kids, includes children’s programming; all Kanopy member accounts have access to Kanopy Kids

OverDrive

OverDrive is a free service offered by your library or school that lets you borrow digital content (like ebooks and audiobooks) anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started with free digital content from your library or school is a library card or student ID.

Watch Finished Program -The Borscht Belt: An illustrated Lecture

Marty wants to bring back to life a remarkable time, place and people. It will never be duplicated unless you lived through it. What survives of the Borscht Belt is the memory. He details the history of The Borscht Belt. Some of the sites that Marty will discuss are the following: Old Route 17, Red Apple Rest, Bungalow Colonies. The following hotels will be mentioned: Grossingers, Concord and Kutcher’s. Marty will conduct a Simon Sez routine with the group. Just about all the comedians back then got their start in the Borscht Belt. He will talk about the following comedians: Red Buttons, George Burns, Rodney Dangerfield, Sid Caesar, Henny Youngman and Milton Berle. What caused the decline of The Borscht Belt will be discussed.

Live Zoom - Statue of Liberty: Historical Lecture

The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, after more than twenty years of planning, fund raising, and construction. Kevin will explain how she was built and what she symbolizes, and introduce some of the people involved in her creation, including sculptor Frederic Bartholdi, engineer Gustave Eiffel, architect Richard Morris Hunt, and newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer. The program ends with brief histories of Ellis Island and Liberty State Park.
