  • 2. Wait until you get a call from Circulation Staff to schedule an appointment for Window Pickup.
  • 3. Adhere to your appointment time.

Keeping Our Community Safe

  • Once materials are returned, we will quarantine them for 3 days. The materials may remain on your account longer pending library closures and when the whole bin is moved into quarantine. Items from the off site book drops will be checked in the following Saturday. All items will be checked in without fines throughout August, with the possibility to extend.

Returning Your Library Materials

  • Look for an OPEN sign on any book drop. There is a mail slot on the wall next to the main entrance to place books as well. Book drops at Wesley Hills Village Hall, Eugene Levy Memorial Park, and Hillcrest Shopping Center are only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • WARNING : DO NOT LEAVE ANY LIBRARY MATERIALS OUTSIDE THE DROP BOXES.
  • Any material that is stolen or damaged by the elements because they were left outside a drop box will be charged to the borrowing patron. If the box is full, please hold on to your materials and return again another time. ALL ITEMS WILL BE CHECKED IN WITHOUT FINES THROUGHOUT AUGUST, WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO EXTEND. Thank you.
  • Please place AV material in the specific AV drop books. Dropping these materials in the same box as a book subjects it to damage. We appreciate your assistance in keeping our materials in the best possible condition. AV material include: DVDs, video games, music CDs, books on CDs, and audio book kits.

Applying Online for a Library Card

  • Finkelstein Memorial Library is proud to introduce our online library card application process. Please use the link to fill out your information. You will receive an email with your library card number from fmlcirc@rcls.org
  • This card is currently good for some databases and downloadable platforms offered by Finkelstein Memorial Library and Ramapo Catskill Library System. Hoopla and Freading are not currently offered with this temporary account. You will not be able to check out physical materials when we reopen until you obtain your physical card.
  • Please claim your physical card when the Library reopens, no later than October 1, 2020. You will need to present photo ID and proof of residence to receive your card. Please see our website for a full list and check back for updates. On the possibility the library opens after August 1, the October 1 date will be pushed back to 2 months after the library opened. All cards not picked up by that date will be deactivated.
