Switch & Snacks
Every Monday, 1/6-6/9 (no session 1/20, 1/27, 2/17, 2/24, 3/24, 4/21, 5/19, 5/26) from 3:00-5:00 PM
Need a place to chill after school? Every Monday, come to the Teen Space for free snacks, Nintendo Switch games, board games, and more! This is a drop in program. 

Teen Library Council
Tuesdays, (1/7, 2/4, 2/7, 3/4, 4/1, 5/6 & 6/3) from 7:00-8:00 PM
Make a difference in your library and community! Earn volunteer hours! Get exclusive perks! TLC Members meet once a month with the Teen Librarian to discuss ways to improve the library for teens and work on planning an annual community event (date TBD). Members may be eligible for exclusive perks, like a $1000 college scholarship, job and college references from a librarian, and more! Don’t miss out on this great leadership opportunity! Teen Volunteer Orientation
Tuesdays, (1/7, 2/4, 3/4, 4/1) from 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Thursdays, (1/16, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 6/12) from 7:00 – 8:00 PM

Earn your required volunteer hours at the library. Help out at programs, read and review new books, be a Reading Buddy, and more. Apply online and attend an orientation to complete your application.

Crochet Crew

Sundays, (1/12, 2/9, 3/16, 4/13, 5/4, 6/8) from 2:00-3:00 PM

A monthly crochet (and knitting) meet-up for teens! No worries if you’ve never crocheted before, we’ll teach you how! Basic supplies and snacks will be provided. This is a drop in program.

Teen Makers for a Cause
Tuesdays, (1/14, 2/11, 3/11, 4/8, 5/27, 6/10) from 6:30-8:00 PM

Get hands-on for a cause! Join us once a month for this series where we will create different projects to benefit a good cause. At the end of each session, teens will have created something to donate and something to keep. Teens will earn community service time for each session. This is a drop in program with limited supplies – first come, first served.

1/14: Fleece Blankets (for Rockland Green CARES Animal Shelter)
2/11: Handmade Earrings (for Survivors of Domestic Violence)
3/11: Scent Hearts (for NICU Babies)
4/8: Holiday Placemats (for Senior Citizens)
5/27: Greeting Cards (for Our Troops)
6/10: Handmade Buttons (for the Library)

Adventuring with Dungeons & Dragons
Thursdays, (1/23, 2/20, 3/20, 4/17, 5/15, 6/5) from 6:30-8:30 PM

Join us for the popular interactive collective storytelling game, Dungeons & Dragons. Beginners are welcome and all materials will be provided. Players are able to immerse themselves in a world and character of their creation, problem-solve, collaborate with their friends, and direct the story themselves! Each date will be a self-contained game and you do not need to attend every month. This is a drop in program.

FAFSA Financial Aid Workshop (Teens/Parents)
Tuesday, (3/18) from 6:30-8:30 PM

This free 2-hour workshop for teens and their parents will provide an overview of key financial aid forms, including: FAFSA; TAP; CSS Profile; and Excelsior scholarship. There will be hands-on assistance with completing FAFSA and TAP (12th graders) and creating an FSA ID for the FAFSA for next year (11th graders). Pizza will be served.

This program is being presented by Jumpstart’s Charnikia Pinesett, a licensed professional with over 15 years of experience in successfully helping students complete financial aid forms and prepare for and enroll in college. Registration preferred. First come, first served.

CPR Class (Teens/Parents)
Monday, 4/7 from 6:30-8:30 PM

Parents/caregivers and teens (Gr. 7+) are invited to a CPR class to learn how to perform lifesaving emergency assistance on babies and adults. This class will be taught by registered nurse and certified instructor, Patricia Jean-Gilles. Participants will receive CPR certification upon completion. Registration preferred. First come, first served.
