Teen Summer Programs

AGES 13-18

All forms for registration (where indicated as required/recommended) open on May 15th. Once a program is filled, a waitlist will open that we will pull from up until 24 hours to the start of the program. Last minute empty spots will be filled first come first served 10 mins after the start of each program. [D] = Drop in  [R] = Registration Required [S] = Registration Suggested



Welcome Heart Mural [D]
Wednesday, July 12 at 7pm

Help create a fun mural to let everyone know that “All are welcome in the library.”

Monday, July 17 at 6:30 pm

Help out the environment by making Seed Bombs. Create your seed bomb made of flower seeds, dry clay, soil and water to brighten up your home.

Random Fandom [R]
Wednesday, July 26 from 6 pm – 8 pm

Celebrate your love of anime with a watch party, pizza, a fun filled night of making onigiri (rice balls), and more!

Multicultural Potluck (Ages 13-18) [R]

Celebrate Finkelstein’s kaleidoscope of cultures- join us for music, conversation, and games! Bring your favorite cultural dish or wear something meaningful to you. Please bring a list of ingredients for those with allergies.

Sharpie Tie-Dye in the Makerspace [R]
Wednesday, August 9 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Design your own book bag or T-shirt with a little help from our Makerspace. Choose your Sharpie colors, add your logo, and watch the magic happen!

Game Night [S]
Wednesday, August 16 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Join us for a night of board games! Bring your own or use some of the ones here. Try something new or play a favorite. Solo players and groups are welcome.

July 10, 17, 24, 31;  August 7, & 14 at 5 pm

Join our reigning champion book trivia team and compete against other local libraries in a regional summer battle. You’ll read 8 titles across 8 different genres and answer questions in a team trivia contest complete with buzzers. We’ll meet weekly over the summer to prepare for the Regional Battle. Copies of all titles and team shirts are provided to team members by the library. If interested please contact fmlteen@rcls.org or register online.
