LONG

Teen Lounge Every Day All Summer (7/1-8/10) from1:30 PM (Sundays- Fridays) &9:30 AM (Saturdays) until 30 mins to closing.
The Teen Lounge is open every day, all summer long! Come into the Teen Room for free snacks, board games, Nintendo Switch games, and more! This is a drop in program. 
Teen Acting Workshop with Stacey Tirro Every Saturday, (7/11-8/3) from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Stacey Tirro, musical director from SVHS, will be leading this 4-session acting course. The course will end in a small showcase for friends and family on August 3rd. Registration required once for all sessions.
Battle of the Books Team Training (Entering Gr. 6-12 in Fall) Thursdays, (7/11-8/22) from 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM
Keep our winning streak going and join our Battle of the Books Team! Read a few books, attend weekly practice, and compete against teams from a dozen other libraries in a book trivia competition! MUST be able to attend the Battle of the Books Event on Sunday, August 25 from 12-4pm at SUNY Orange Middletown. Dungeons & Dragons 101: One-Shot Campaigns (Ages 13-18) Tuesday, 7/2 from 1:15 PM – 3:30 PM
Want to join the Dungeons and Dragons club but worried about not knowing how to play the game? Come try a one-shot campaign inspired by classic picture books! Characters and dice will be provided in this low-stakes exploration into the world of Dungeons and Dragons! Registration preferred for each session.
Teen Makers: Origami Engineering Wednesday, 7/17 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Learn about how the ancient Japanese art of origami is being used to innovate medical devices, space exploration, public safety, architecture, and more! Teens will learn how to fold origami designs being used in STEM today. This is a drop in program. 
Child Safety and Emergency CPR Class Wednesday, 7/24 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Do you take care of younger siblings or are you looking for babysitting jobs? Learn some childcare basics and how to perform life-saving emergency CPR on small children – taught by a certified nurse. Accidents can happen anytime, anywhere – learn the skills you need to feel confident and ready to act! This is a drop in program.
Money Talks! Wednesday, 8/7 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Interested in the basics of money management? This class, taught by M&T Bank, will give you an introduction to bank accounts, saving, budgeting, building credit, and how to be fully prepared for your financial journey! Registration preferred.

SUMMER NIGHTS

Summer Reading Finale Party 
Wednesday, 8/21 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
We’re closing out the summer with a mind-blowingly good time! All teens who volunteered this summer or participated in the summer reading challenge are invited to enjoy free pizza and a mentalist show by Amore, professional mind reader and illusionist. Registration required: link will be sent to participants & volunteers.

Glow Paint Night 
Wednesday, 7/31 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Show up and glow up! Create a painting and make it pop with glow-in-the-dark paint. Follow along with step-by-step instruction or make the painting entirely your own! Either way, we’ll have blacklights on and some music going for a night of creativity and good vibes. This is a drop in program. 

Teen Summer Olympic Games
Wednesday, 7/10 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics begin in a few weeks, but we’re kicking summer off with an Olympics of our own! Teens will compete in versions of summer Olympic events (pool noodle fencing, anyone?) with the goal of bringing home the gold medal! Snacks and drinks will be provided. **Please, wear sneakers or other safe footwear. This is a drop in program.
