(*) A BRIEF NOTE ON ‘LOGGING’

As we share some of the base level settings with our children and teen programs, there may be some things with entering online logs that are a little confusing. However, for adults there are only a few things you need to know and the rest you can ignore.

  • When you first register you will enter name, email, if you are a patron or staff, and you will be asked to create a user name and password.
    • Use your username and password to login…bookmark the link or go to the library summer reading page.
    • You may get badges or other similar things from the children’s side …ignore them.
  • You will only use 2 tabs <LOGGING> and <HISTORY> Ignore the rest.
  • Entering a Log
    • When you click on <LOG> you will first select an activity. The next page has only 2 options, TITLE and AUTHOR. This works great for books, but…
    • For everything except books, enter the Activity in TITLE and more information (optional) in AUTHOR. I will know what you mean when pulling statistics.
    • See screenshots
  • <HISTORY> shows what you’ve done so far and how many points you have. I have that information and can use it to enter you into various prize drawings automatically.

Thank you for taking the time to look into summer reading and hope you participate. We’re excited for summer and look forward to what’s ahead. If you have any questions, our team is here to help.
