Kids Fall Programs
Ages 0 - Gr. 6
All programs are always free, with all materials provided. Unless otherwise noted, all programs are drop in and require no pre-registration. Want reminders so you don’t miss a program?
Family Bingo Night (Families)
Monday, (9/28) from 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Grab your family and join us at the library for a cozy, fast-paced hour of Family Bingo. Team up in groups of two, three, or four and get ready to call out “Bingo” when you row is complete! We’ll be playing with fun fall icons and book characters everyone loves! Spanish and Creole speaking staff will be there to include everyone in the fun.
Make one, Keep one! (Families)
Thursday, (12/10) from 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Bring the whole family and join us in making birthday cards for those who may not get one! Have fun crafting with the whole family while also creating something uplifting for someone. Cards will be donated.
Library Littles
These not drop-off programs; caregivers must remain in the room. No registration required.
Toddler Time (Walkers – Preschool Age 3)
Every Tuesday*, (8/25 – 12/15) from 10:30 – 11:15 AM
(*no session 9/15, 10/13, 11/24)
Toddlers, preschoolers, and their grown-ups can join us for fun: stories, fingerplays, music, and movement with scarves, instruments, and more! We will incorporate early literacy tips that can also be used at home.
Baby Lap Time (Pre-Walkers)
Every Thursday*, (8/27 – 12/17) from 10:30 – 11:15 AM
(no sessions: 9/17, 10/15, 11/26)
Caregivers and their infants are invited to their first story time program. This bonding program is specially designed for pre-walkers. Babies will get exposure to stories, songs, and movement, while their grown-ups will get a chance to chat with other caregivers, learn fun ways to entertain Baby, and create special moments together. Siblings welcome.
Shake, Rattle & Read (Walkers to Age 4)
Wednesdays, (9/23 & 11/18) from 10:30-11:30 AM
Join us for an hour of songs, stories, and movement. Parachutes, rhythm sticks, bells, scarves, and more!
Mindful Movement (Walkers to Age 4)
Wednesdays, (10/7 & 12/2) from 10:30-11:30 AM
Quiet stories, peaceful music, and mindful movement will help children stop and smell the roses.
Reading Buddies
Buddies Book Club (Gr. 4-6)
Thursdays*, (9/24, 10/29, 11/19 & 12/17) from 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Reading is fun with buddies! Join this new monthly read aloud book club where we’ll read a chapter book together! Crafts, games, and activities based on each book will be included. Extra copies will be available to check out if we do not finish reading the book. Please note: this program is intended for struggling readers, and an excellent choice for those who have outgrown Reading Buddies.

Reading Buddies (Gr. 1-3)

Reading is fun with a buddy! Your child will practice their phonics and decoding skills in a relaxed environment alongside our teen volunteers by playing literacy games and reading together. Please note: this program is intended for struggling readers. Registration required once per school year.
