All programs are always free, with all materials provided. Unless otherwise noted, all programs are drop in and require no pre-registration. Want reminders so you don’t miss a program?
Library Littles
These not drop-off programs; caregivers must remain in the room. No registration required.
Toddler Time (Walkers – Preschool Age 3)
Every Tuesday*, (3/3 – 6/9) from 10:30 – 11:15 AM
(*no session 3/31 or 4/28)
Toddlers, preschoolers, and their grown-ups can join us for fun: stories, fingerplays, music, and movement with scarves, instruments, and more! We will incorporate early literacy tips that can also be used at home.
Baby Lap Time (Pre-Walkers)
Every Thursday*, (3/5 – 6/11) from 10:30 – 11:15 AM
(no sessions: 4/2 or 4/30)
Caregivers and their infants are invited to their first story time program. This bonding program is specially designed for pre-walkers. Babies will get exposure to stories, songs, and movement, while their grown-ups will get a chance to chat with other caregivers, learn fun ways to entertain Baby, and create special moments together. Siblings welcome.
Music Together with Moon River Music Rockland (Walkers – Preschool Age 3)
Wednesdays, (3/18, 4/8, & 5/20) from 10:30-11:15 AM
This gentle music program uses songs, movement, and instruments to engage little ones while fostering a love for rhythm and sound. We’ll sing, dance, and create music in a supportive, playful environment.
Reading Buddies
Reading Buddies (Gr. K-3)
Mondays* & Wednesdays*, (3/2 – 6/10) from 4:00 – 4:45 PM & 5:00 – 5:45 PM
(*no session 3/30, 4/1, 4/27, 4/29 or 5/25)
Reading is fun with a buddy! Your child will practice their phonics and decoding skills in a relaxed environment alongside our teen volunteers by playing literacy games and reading together. Please note: this program is intended for struggling readers. Registration required once per school year.
Buddies Book Club(Gr. 4-6)
Thursdays (3/5, 4/9, 5/7 & 6/4) from 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Reading is fun with buddies! Join this new monthly read aloud book club where children take turns reading aloud a young reader title. Extra copies will be available to check out if we do not finish reading the book. Please note: this program is intended for struggling readers, and an excellent choice for those who have outgrown Reading Buddies.

Join us for fun, hands-on activities that help children and families learn how to be smart, alert, strong, kind, and brave online. Together we’ll explore how to build digital safety skills and kindness online.
