Pop Art with Michael Albert (Family) 
Wednesday, (11/19) from 6:15 PM – 8:15 PM


Participants of all ages engage in creating their own collages using recycled materials, particularly cereal boxes, fostering creativity and environmental awareness. Albert will share insights into his artistic journey, influences, and the evolution of his collage techniques. Attendees will receive complimentary posters featuring Albert’s artwork! All adults (18+) must attend with a student in grades K-12. Registration preferred. First come, first served.

Teen Library Council
Thursdays, (9/11, 10/9, 11/13, & 12/4) from 7:00-8:00 PM
Gain leadership skills, contribute to your community, and shape your public library! TLC members earn community service for participation and are eligible for special perks, like TLC Rewards and a $1000 college scholarship! Join any time, no registration required. Snacks provided. Teen Makers
Thursdays, (9/18, 10/16, 11/20, 12/18) from 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Make one to donate and one to keep! Earn community service hours while helping others with these projects.

9/18: Dog Toys (for Local Animal Shelter)

10/16: Paracord Bracelets  (for Service Members & First Responders)

11/20: Beanie Hats & Lucky Rocks (for Chemo Patients) 

12/18: Capes for Kids (In Shelters)

Teen Time
Sundays, (9/21, 10/5, 11/16, 12/7) from 2:00-4:00 PM

Watch a movie, crochet, create crafts, play board games and Nintendo Switch, eat snacks…it’s up to you!

Teens & Parents

All adults (18+) must attend with a teen in grades 7-12.

Self-Defense
Thursday, (10/23) from 7:30-8:30 PM

Learn some basic, hands-on self defense techniques and common sense tactics to prepare yourself for threatening, physical encounters.

About the Instructor: Grandmaster Raymond Portante is a 7th Dan Black Belt in the art of Taekwondo who has owned and operated East Coast Martial Arts in Chestnut Ridge, NY since 1990. All adults (18+) must attend with a teen in grades 7-12. Registration preferred. First come, first served.

Surefire 4.0 Workshop
Thursday, (11/16) from 7:00-8:30 PM
Teens and their parents are invited to learn ways to enhance their academic performance with Surefire 4.0! Surefire 4.0 is an innovative workshop that incorporates brain and research based strategies that have been proven to help students enhance academic performance. The workshop includes hands-on practice and a discussion of the following: the Cornell Note-Taking Method; the 20, 30, 60 rule of memorization; learning styles and metacognition; effective learning strategies inside and outside of the classroom; maximizing your time to yield the greatest results. All adults (18+) must attend with a teen in grades 7-12.

CPR
Thursday, (12/11) from 6:30-8:30 PM
Learn to perform lifesaving emergency assistance on babies and adults! This class will be taught by registered nurse and certified instructor, Patricia Jean-Gilles. Participants will receive CPR certification upon completion. All adults (18+) must attend with a teen in grades 7-12. Registration preferred. First come, first served.
