Teen Lounge (Ages 13-18) [D]
Tuesdays, 1/16-6/4 (no session 2/13, 2/20, 4/23, 4/30) from 3:00-4:30 PM
Need a place to chill after school? Every Tuesday, the meeting room is open to teens only. Play Switch games, hang out with friends, catch up on homework, play board games, do crafts, and more! Snacks provided. Interested in learning how to crochet, but not sure where to start? Come to the Teen Lounge and our Teen Librarian, Jaimie, will teach you!

Teen Advisory Board (TAB) [D]
Wednesdays, 1/17, 2/7, 3/13, 4/10, & 5/15 from 7:00-8:00 PM
Have your voice heard and earn volunteer hours for it. TAB members and the Teen Librarian meet monthly to discuss ways to improve the library experience for teens. Snacks will be provided. Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Connect & Reflect: An Event For Teens By Teens [D]

Get ready for an exciting experience with the library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) – they’re teaming up with Teen Information Peer Services (TIPS) of Ramapo High School, a student club run by Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic. This interactive event for teens will feature games and teen-led discussions covering topics of self-identity and how our perceptions of ourselves affect our relationships. Plus, we have snacks covered, because what’s a great conversation without a tasty treat or two?!

Calling all adventurers! Paint your own 3D-printed Dungeons & Dragons miniatures using our makerspace. Use them in your own campaign,or join the library’s D&D club!

Grilled Cheese Stans Unite! (Ages 13-18) [D]

Join us as we pay homage to the gooey greatness of the grilled cheese in celebration of National Grilled Cheese Day! We will try different kinds of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches (hot off the pan) and enjoy some cheesy activities.

Glow Up! Paint Night (Ages 13-18) [R]

Wednesday, 1/24 from 7:00-8:30 PM

Show up and glow up! Create a painting and make it pop with glow-in-the-dark paint. Follow along with step-by-step instruction or make the painting entirely your own! Either way, we’ll have blacklights on and some music going for a night of creativity and good vibes.

Werewolves are real. This is the only information you know to be absolutely true. Are you clever enough to figure out the rest of the truth or will you be tricked by lies?

Get Your Journal On! (Ages 13-18) [R]
Wednesday, 3/20 from 7:00-8:30 PM

Get hands-on and make a journal that’s all yours from start to finish using the many tools the makerspace has to offer. Choose your paper, decorate your cover, and use the comb binding machine to put it all together.

The library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is working alongside Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic to create a teen-centered workshop/event on sex and health that will cover a variety of topics. Details to come!
